gutter demons ~ room 209
“You’ve committed an unforgivable crime against nature!”
“And you have fallen in love with this crime against nature…”
“And you have fallen in love with this crime against nature…”
Johnny Toxik growls like a rabid dog through ten viciously original psychobilly tracks and two covers, Hell-Bent On Rockin’ and Pauvre Martin. Released in 2005 on Pirates Records, The Gutter Demons’ second full length album delves into the macabre with songs about murder, disfigurement, twisted love and insanity. The guitar work is exacting and accurate, yet howls just right at times. The double bass balances tones and clicks effortlessly, and keeps the album moving steadily forward . The drums are infectious – you’ll find yourself drumming along with Devil Horns at work if you aren’t careful. The whole album gets inside of you from start to finish.
I once said that if I were stranded on a deserted island, this would be one of three albums I couldn’t do without. I’d be shark bait without it.

For its dark menacing bite and rockin’ arrangement, I give The Gutter Demons’ Room 209…
